Darwaza is an ode to the world around us, here’s to the moments of laughter, those of love that we enjoy with nature. Dew drops on the grass, a walk along the beach, the serenity of mountains, the sounds of the oceans, the quiet of the desert.
Darwaza is an extension of these things I love, these things that we mustn’t exploit or abuse. All of us grow up with memories. Naturally, I did too. Darwaza is a visual ballad of my memories and remembrance of colours, textiles, textures around me while I was growing up - the colours of my mothers sarees, the embroideries on the curtains in our house, the texture of the sofa covers, the flower pots in our garden.
All these things hold a very important place in my journey of being inclined to art, to design. This very nostalgia is the essence of this brand.Darwaza is all about memories of a life expressed on finest quality Indian textiles in prints and with hand embroideries.
